Are my gifts to PPC tax deductible?
Yes. PPC is a 501(c)(3) organization and your gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

How will PPC use my contributions?
Your contributions will support the general operations of PPC. They are especially important to help us provide healthcare to women, men and teens who cannot afford to pay for all or part of their care, don’t have insurance or don’t receive Medicaid. Your gift will also support our education and advocacy programs.

Are Planned Parenthood of Connecticut (PPC) and Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) one and the same?
No we are not. PPC is an affiliate/member of PPFA. Here at PPC, we provide reproductive health care in 18 health centers across the state of Connecticut, as well as sexuality education and advocacy. PPFA is a national organization and does not provide direct medical services. PPFA does set medical standards for all Planned Parenthood affiliates in the United States and, in so doing, ensures the high quality health care offered by its affiliates.

What happens after I make my first gift to PPC?
All of us at Planned Parenthood of Connecticut truly value your support and want to make sure that you get regular updates about the important work that you help fund. Three times a year, you’ll receive Focus - our informative newsletter as well as an invitation to a special event in your area or an occasional special opportunity. You can also expect to get communications from us several times a year. If you have provided us with your e-mail address, you will receive updates on our programs and services from time to time.

If I want more information on PPC’s programs or finances, what should I do?

Does PPC sell names of supporters?
Never. However, from time to time PPC may exchange lists with other like-minded nonprofit organizations. This helps us reach out to more caring people like you who may be interested in supporting our work. If you prefer that we do not exchange your name, just let us know and we will honor your wishes. Call the Development Office at 203-865-5158.

What else can I do to help?
While financial support is always crucial, we have many interesting volunteer opportunities that can be matched to your interests and availability. These may include special events or administrative support. If you know of others who might be interested in volunteering or supporting PPC with a contribution, just call us or send their names and we’ll get in touch.

What other types of contributions does PPC accept?
PPC welcomes gifts of cash or stock, as well as planned gifts such as bequests and gift annuities. You may be able to designate a gift to PPC through your United Way, or provide us with a matching gift from your employer. We are proud to welcome gifts in memory or in honor of a friend or family member, and are happy to send acknowledgment cards to those you wish to honor.
