Video Collection
The PPC Education & Training Department maintains a collection of over 250 educational videos for use in teaching about human sexuality, reproductive health, relationships, self esteem, as well as related topics. This video collection is a rich resource which we make available to schools, agencies, parents, and professionals.
Which PPC Education Offices Have Videos for Loan? The majority of our video collection is housed at PPCs State Office in New Haven. We are happy to ship videos anywhere within Connecticut. Typically, borrowers using videos need to pick videos up and drop them off. We prefer not to ship videos out of state, however, if you would like to request that we do so, you are welcome to call our Education & Training Department at (203) 865-5158 to discuss your situation.
What Videos Are Available for Loan?A print catalog of the PPC Video Collection - containing titles, descriptions and locations of availability is available by calling our Education & Training Department at (203) 865-5158. Members of the PPC T!LT Resources Membership receive a catalog with their membership materials.
How Can I Find Out About the Content of a Video? You can get a general idea from the description in the video catalog, however, the best way to determine if the video is appropriate is to view it. A preview allows you to determine if the video will meet the needs of your audience. Planned Parenthood is happy to help you review of any our videos prior to a loan. This free service is available by appointment at PPCs State Administrative Office (located in New Haven). If you are interested in scheduling a video review, simply email or phone the Education & Training Department at (203) 865-5158. Our Education Department staff are happy to answer any questions as well as make recommendations for videos on specific topics.
Who May Borrow Videos?Planned Parenthood loans the majority of videos to teachers and those who work with social service agencies. We also loan videos to individuals for their personal use. NOTE: PPC does not loan videos directly to people under the age of 18. If a young person would like to borrow a video, she/he should make arrangements to have an adult borrow it.
How Can I Borrow a Video?
Is There A Fee to Borrow Videos?PPC charges a nominal usage fee of $5.00 plus shipping costs per title for borrowing videos. Videos can be loaned for up to 14 days at a time. People who anticipate using many videos over the course of a year are encouraged to join our
What Should I Do if a Video Needs Repair? Please return the video to the Education & Training Department at PPCs State Office (located in New Haven).
