Planned Parenthood of Connecticut began over 80 years ago with the
support of a dedicated group of volunteers, and that tradition
continues to thrive today. It's an exciting time to become involved
with PPC! We have three volunteer programs to help us expand the
ways in which our volunteers can contribute their time, talents, and
energy to Planned Parenthood:
Health Center Volunteers: Our greatest need for health
center volunteers is in our New Haven, New London, and West Hartford
locations. Volunteer opportunities are available NOW at these three
locations. Volunteer opportunities may also exist in other health
centers across the state. Training is provided. Please note:
Health center volunteers must be age 18 or older.
Administrative Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to
assist with a broad range of projects in our state office located in
New Haven. Some typical projects include assembling packets of
information; preparing items to be mailed; writing brochure content;
online research; data entry; answering phones; and filing.
Health Fair Volunteers: Planned Parenthood needs
volunteers to help our staff at health fairs and other events
throughout the state. Our health fair volunteers are required to
attend a training session before their first event.
